How we verify political and current information
For facts about CJP, its public activity, people associated with it, or its current join process, we prioritize current first-party material for what the movement says about itself and established reporting for independently reported events. When sources use different labels or interpretations, we attribute those descriptions rather than presenting one contested interpretation as settled fact.
Source hierarchy
- Current first-party pages for the organization’s own forms, statements and disclosures.
- Established news reporting for independently reported events and profiles.
- Official public records when a legal, electoral or regulatory status needs confirmation.
Freshness and dates
Pages that discuss changing information display an update or review date. A date does not mean every historical fact changed that day; it means the page was reviewed for accuracy and source availability.
Structured data
Structured data is used only to describe content that is visible on the page. It is not used to create claims that a reader cannot see in the article itself.
Fan tools and privacy
The card and DP tools are independent creative experiences and are clearly separated from official membership. They must not be interpreted as identity documents or proof of affiliation.
Corrections policy
If a factual statement is outdated, unclear or incorrectly attributed, contact us with the page URL and supporting source. We review material corrections and update the page when warranted.
